When lunchtime calls and you need a break from the home or from work, Salt Lake City beckons all you foodies and noshers.
Luckily, the city boasts an array of gorgeous marbled rye, toasted ciabattas, and copious amount of kraut. Scroll down for four of the best sandwiches I've tried around Salt Lake City.

The lobster roll from Freshie's
Salt Lake City is known for its soda shops, its mountainous views, and apparently, for its lobster! Freshie's originated within Park City's Sunday farmer's market in 2009, and the lines eventually grew so long, they decided to launch a cafe in Salt Lake City, too! Thus, it's no surprise Freshie's lobster roll has even nabbed a title as the World's Best Lobster Roll.
You can choose one (or several) lobster roll sizes, and nosh easy knowing the lobsters are sustainably caught and transferred from Maine to SLC within about a day for you seafood lovers.

The Rachel from Feldman's Deli
Feldman's Deli is truly a gem. Tucked in Millcreek Corners just below Sugar House Park, the deli is famed by local foodies and longtime visitors.
The humble and authentic Jewish deli dishes out gargantuan sandwiches, creamy potato salad, potato pancakes, and matzo ball soup, to name just a few of your options. My latest snag was the "Rachel," layered with pastrami, swiss, thousand island, and cole slaw on Jewish rye.
The pastrami sandwich from Bewilder Beer
Bewilder Beer is one of those havens where you can not only enjoy a nod-worthy brew near downtown Salt Lake City, but also take a seat, and enjoy a meal. I've visited myriad times when I've needed a little snack with my sip (though I LOVE their current orange honey wheat beer.) While their house-smoked sausage platter is a must, I was particularly impressed by their pastrami sandwich. Enjoy lots and lots of dry cured, heavily seasoned and smoked beef brisket, served deli style (mustard and pickles,) or "Reubenesque" with house sauerkraut, swiss cheese, and Russian dressing.

The croque Hawaii from Bruges Belgian Bistro
If you're ever sifting through Patagonia's outlet in Sugar House, you really oughta rest those feet and enjoy a treat from Bruges Belgian Bistro (though they have a downtown location, too.) While you can binge over apple pie, "Cinnamonster," and raspberry-smothered waffles, their sandwiches also deserve a well-earned nod. I fell in love with their croque Hawaii, paired with melted cheese on fresh bread, ham, provolone, jack and cheddar cheese, pineapple, curry, and fries.
Seriously, you'll get a taste of Belgium with this one.
